Orpheus Island South Room
Welcome to the stunning all-inclusive Orpheus Island on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. This unspoilt tropical paradise accommodates only 28 people.
The Orpheus Island lodge location is surrounded by over one thousand hectares of National Park. Accommodation is limited to fourteen rooms, including suites and villas.
Furthermore, there is a 25-metre infinity pool for guests to enjoy during their stay on the island.
The South Rooms are bungalow-style design. Located very close to the water’s edge, you’ll have complete privacy. Additionally, you’ll be surrounded by lush, tropical gardens.
The activities on Orpheus Island Great Barrier Reef are complimentary and included in your stay. There are many once-in-a-lifetime experiences to be had. For example;

First On arrival, you will meet with the Executive Chef. To discuss your food preferences and dietary requirements.

Great Barrier Reef

The Great Barrier Reef is home to a third of the world’s coral species. Additionally, you can find a myriad of marine life.
Dive under the water to see thousands of brightly coloured tropical fish and corals.
This region is home to more than 30 species of marine mammals, including the vulnerable dugong and six of the world’s seven threatened marine turtles. Green Sea Turtles are regularly seen from Orpheus Island.
Gwandalan Day Spa
Gwandalan translates to ‘rest and peace’ in the native Aboriginal language. Importantly peace guides all elements of the spa. Above all, each treatment intends to restore balance and wellness.
The spa uses modern and also indigenous herbalism in addition to aromatherapy and also touch therapy.
In fact, each ritual is inspired by traditional Aboriginal techniques. Reflecting the tranquillity and beauty of the surrounding seas.
Orpheus Island enjoys a tropical climate with an average temperature of 27 degrees celsius. From May to October, the island is pleasantly warm with an abundance of sunshine.
During the wet season from November to April, there is a chance of rain average temperature of 29 degrees celsius.

Complimentary WIFI is in the lodge area only. The reception is open 24 hours a day. Enjoy a full laundry service (no dry cleaning available). Check-in is 2 pm, with a checkout time of 11 am.

Transfers from Townsville, Queensland via a thirty-minute scenic helicopter flight

The wet season is from November to April. So there is certainly a chance of rain during these times. Therefore, Orpheus Island Great Barrier Reef has a seasonal closure from the 30th January to 28 February 2021 inclusive.
