✔️ Indigenous culture woven into the journey
✔️ Delicious upgraded lunch options

Set out on a fun-filled full-day waterfall adventure from Cairns and discover the stunning Atherton Tablelands. This tour is perfect for anyone who wants to explore pristine rainforest, swim beneath spectacular waterfalls, and enjoy the beauty of Queensland’s tallest peaks. Along the way, you will spot unique wildlife, learn Indigenous stories, and refuel with a hearty country-style lunch.

🌊 Babinda Boulders – Dreamtime Stories & Rainforest Beauty

We begin the day at Babinda Boulders, a turquoise creek framed by lush rainforest and dramatic rock formations. As you walk along the river, your guide will share the moving Yidinji Tribe Dreamtime story of Oolana and Dyga. This cultural tale explains the spirit-filled landscape and adds meaning to the natural wonder around you.

💦 Josephine Falls – Nature’s Waterslide

From here, we continue to Josephine Falls, a series of cascading pools with crystal-clear water. The highlight is the natural waterslide, a smooth rock face polished by rushing water that leads into a refreshing swimming hole. Take the plunge, go for a slide, and relive the joy of childhood in the heart of the rainforest.

🌟 Milla Milla Falls – An Iconic Stop

Next, we arrive at the famous Milla Milla Falls, one of the most photographed waterfalls in Australia. This 18-metre single drop plunges into a cool rainforest pool and offers the perfect setting for a swim, splash, and memorable photo. The lush greenery surrounding the falls makes every angle postcard-worthy.

🍽️ Lunch at Malanda Pub – Fresh and Satisfying

By midday, it will be time to recharge with a country pub lunch at Malanda. Guests now enjoy upgraded menu options, each served with golden hot chips:

  • Vegetable Burger – Vegetable patty on a white seeded bun with lettuce and slaw
  • BLT Wrap – Bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo on a tortilla
  • Chicken Schnitzel Caesar Wrap – Crispy schnitzel with bacon, parmesan, lettuce, and Caesar dressing

With a satisfying meal to keep you going, you will be ready for the next adventure.

🌿 Cathedral Fig Tree – Indigenous Connection

After lunch, we visit the spectacular Cathedral Fig Tree. Estimated to be more than 500 years old, this rainforest giant is breathtaking to behold. Its sprawling root system and towering canopy create an unforgettable sight. Thanks to our new partnership with Rainforest to Bush, you will also gain insight into the tree’s cultural significance. As you explore, keep an eye out for wildlife such as the rare Lumholtz Tree Kangaroo.

🦆 Platypus Spotting & Lake Eacham Swim

Our journey then slows down as we search a quiet creek for the elusive platypus. If you are lucky, you may catch a glimpse of this shy Australian icon. Finally, we make our way to Lake Eacham, a volcanic crater lake with calm, clear water that invites you in for one last swim. Surrounded by lush forest, it is the perfect way to end the day before heading back to Cairns.
