Cairns to Cape York Scenic Flight

Cairns to Cape York  Scenic Flight is a low-level flight to Bamaga from Cairns.  This flight covers approximately 1100 km of the remote outback and spectacular reefs and rainforests.

We will show you parts of Cape York that are inaccessible by vehicles, Such as Cape Melville, the silica sands of Cape Flattery, Bathurst Heads, Princess Charlotte Bay and the Flinders Islands Group.

The 4WD section of the tour takes you to Australia’s Northernmost beach – Frangipani Beach– via the Lockerbie Scrub and a pocket of the Northern Rainforest.

From Frangipani Beach, we walk approx. One thousand metres to the Tip of Cape York.

Itinerary

This is a sample itinerary:

First, check in with Daintree Air Services at 6.15 am.

Departing at 7 am, enjoy a low-level flight from Cairns to Bamaga.

Then, experience a 4WD from Bamaga to the Top of the Cape.

Finally, return to Cairns flying over the Outer Barrier Reef.

Please note a moderate level of fitness is required to complete this tour. The walk to the “Top of Australia” is over very rocky and uneven terrain and can be slippery.

Please note this tour requires a minimum of 6 people to operate. If Air Tours/Daintree Air cancels for any reason the client will receive a full refund.
